Peter Sullivan, Associate

Pete Sullivan has over 30 years experience in all aspects of the plastics industry and a thorough understanding of how various aspects of the business operate.

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS:

Sullivan was President/CEO of Abby Communications and founding Publisher of Injection Molding Magazine.  He and his team built IMM into a highly profitable number one monthly magazine in plastics.  Abby Communications also published Injection Moulding International, the IMM Almanac, and produced www.immnet.com and design and management seminars and conferences.

Sullivan was Group Vice President of Advanstar Communications, a leading business-to-business publisher and trade show producer where he was responsible for Plastics Machinery & Equipment, Plastics Design Forum, the Plastics Fairs, Plastics Compounding, Advanced Composites and a host of ancillary publications.  In addition to the plastics publications at Advanstar, Sullivan directed an assortment of other publications, including: American Salon, Hotel Motel Management, Video Store, Motorcycle Dealernews, Pit & Quarry, Concrete, Automatic ID News and Drug & Cosmetic Industry.

In earlier years, Sullivan worked in a variety of sales, marketing and executive positions at Industry Media, the company that successfully launched and operated Plastics Machinery & Equipment, Plastics Design Forum, Plastics Compounding and the Plastics Fairs.  He began his career with Cahners Publishing in sales, marketing, promotion and research functions on Design News, EDN and Plastics World magazines.

Successfully managed small and large organizations:

• Led team that launched, operated and sold Abby Communications in five years.

• Launched several successful magazines and financially viable ancillary products in a large company environment.

• Actively involved for small and large companies in acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and portfolio management.

• Formed management teams, developed marketing and sales strategies, created budgeting methods and systems and managed over-all implementation for a number of businesses in small and large companies.
